Dieckmann, age 90 of Batesville, died Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at \nSt. Andrew\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Health Campus.&nbsp; Born August 13, 1929 in Cedar Grove, \nIndiana, she is the daughter of Alma (Nee: Pulskamp) and Alfred \nDeffner.&nbsp; She married Harold Dieckmann September 8, 1956 at Guardian \nAngel Church in Cedar Grove.&nbsp; A homemaker, she was a member of St. Louis\n Church and the Daughters of Isabella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An exceptional cook, her homemade bread and rolls will be dearly \nmissed.&nbsp; Velma also was a longtime babysitter, having watched many of \nthe children from the area through the years.&nbsp; She is survived by her \ndaughter and son-in-law Wilma \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Willie\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and Dennis Moeller of Oldenburg; \nsons and daughters-in-law Paul and Anita Dieckmann of Danville, Indiana,\n Brian and Sandy Dieckmann of Whiteland, Indiana; sisters Pat Naayers of\n Florida, Sharon Singer of West Chester, Ohio; brother Dale Deffner of \nBrookville; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.&nbsp; In \naddition to her husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by \nher brother Ron Deffner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Velma E.
