John B. Pulskamp and Rose Pulskamp

I came across a 1902 Cincinnati City Directory listing the following, and wonder if anyone can clarify for me who these folks are:

John B. Pulskamp, candymkr, h. 1355 Pendleton
Rose Pulskamp, h. bkbinder 427 Woodward
The folks on Woodward could be Henry Theodore John Pulskamp, who came from Germany at age five and his son George Henry Pulskamp who ended up in the state hospital, and Rose could be Henry Theodore John’s daughter Rose Mary Pulskamp, born 1874, died 1940, never married. Does that sound correct to everyone?
John B. Pulskamp could be Henry Theodore John’s son, but I always thought of him as a furniture maker. He owned Dams and Pulskamp Furniture Mfg Company and was my grandfather’s father.
Edward H. could be the son of Herman Heinrich but he moved to Celina at some point. Does anyone know if he worked as a draftsman in Cincinnati in 1902?

Just saw the posting of April 28 re: Cincinnati City Directory. I can offer the following:
Herman Heinrich Pulskamp (Judge Pulskamp) moved his family from Cincinnati to Maria Stein, Ohio in 1861 and hence to Celina Ohio in 1875. Thus I do not believe he is one of the Herman or H. Pulskamp’s listed in the directory.
The 1886, 1887, and 1888 listings show a Jos. L. Pulskamp. In January 1889 Herman Pulskamp (son of Judge Pulskamp), in partnership with his cousin Joe Pulskamp, opened a furniture store and started a funeral business in Celina. The firm was named H. & J. Pulskamp. Joe was the son of Henry John Theodore Pulskamp. (Note that Jos. and Henry J T both resided at 96 Woodward.)

Please review my initial comment and you will note that I suggest the the Jos. L. Pulskamp listed in the 1885, 1887 & 1888 directories is the son of Henry John Theodore Pulskamp.
Re: Your inquiry concerning Edw. H. Pulskamp. Edward H. Pulskamp (son of Judge Pulskamp) was born on January 7, 1875 in Maria Stein, Ohio. In 1903, he married Elizabeth C. Spieler in Cincinnati. They moved to Celina circa 1908 and Ed became the Equipment Maintenance Specialist at the Celina Stearic Acid Co. Elizabeth’s brother August was the President of that firm. Ed died May 28, 1927; Elizabeth on March 21, 1926.
There is a high probability that the Edw. H Pulskamp listed in 1901 and the E.H. Pulskamp listed in 1907 are the above Edward H. Pulskamp. It’s not a big stretch from Draftsman to Equipment Maintenance Specialist in a family owned business.

On August 29, 1854, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Herman H. Pulskamp (1830-1891) married Mary Schaefer (1833-1886). To this union were born: Katie (1855-1930), Herman (1859-1912), J. Henry (1861-1937), John B. (1863-1947), Bernard “Doc” 1868-1929), George (1873-1952), Edward 1875-1927) as well as Mary, Louise, Joseph and Frederick, the latter four died in infancy. In 1888, Herman H Pulskamp married Mary A. Frey (1831-1899).

I think the John B. Pulskamp listed as a candymaker in the 1904 and other directories, is the same John B. Pulskamp listed as co-owner of Pulskamp and Dams Furniture earlier. He is my great grandfather and I believe when he got older and no longer had the furniture store, he carved chocolate molds.
